Character Name: Joe Dumming

Based on Marvel’s famous comic hero, this animated series presents the adventures of Dr. Robert Bruce Banner.

An accident during the test of the Gamma Bomb (Banner’s creation) transformed him into a powerful hulking being; since then he is on the run because the Army believes him to be a threat which must be destroyed.

Brett was the lead actor in the episode “The Phenom,” in which he played a star baseball pitcher, Joe, trying to impress scouts at a baseball camp. He is befriended by Dr. Banner and The Hulk emerges to protect Joe from greedy sports agents that want to cash in on his youthful innocence and powerful pitching arm. “The Phenom” originally aired October 1, 1981 and was one of Brett’s first roles after arriving in Los Angeles to pursue his acting career.
