I met Brett on the set of the Young Riders in Tucson, Arizona. I was on the show two or three times and I got to know Brett a little bit. He was sort of a mentor to me while I was dating one of his co-stars, Travis Fine. I used to call Brett at his hotel room (the Residence Inn, I believe) to ask for his advice about Travis as well as acting tips.
