Ask Brett: Set 10
Question: How long have you been married? What is your wife and daughter’s name? What are your favorite hobbies? What is the name of your new movie? When is it ? Because I think I am one of your oldest fans! Over 70! Your fan, Shirley
Brett: Shirley, I’ve been happily married for 8 yrs. My favorite hobbies are golfing and surfing and playing with my daughter. The movie I’m doing is called the Replacements and will be released sometime in 2000.
Question: Hi this is Chrystal (in Richmond, Va). Remember me? I really would love to have Ron Melendez’s email address. Thanks Alot, Chrystal
Brett: Chrystal, I’m sorry but I don’t know Ron’s e-mail address.
Question: I am still an avid fan of Legacy! I love the show and everyone in it. We live in Richmond. Last spring my husband and I drove down Rt. 5 around some of the plantations to see if we might find out where some of this might have been filmed. Is that a secret?? Can you give my a hint? Can’t wait to see your next project. Forever a fan…Patty
Brett: Patty, the plantation that we shot at for the Logans home was at Tuckahoe Plantation and was also Thomas Jefferson’s childhood home. The Winters family home was the Berkely plantation and we also shot at Westover plantation. I might be confused about those two …..it could be the other way around…Westover instead of Berkely.
Question: What would surprise everyone the most about filming movies? And what surprised you about movie productions when you first started acting? Thanks for quality acting too!!! JM
Brett: J.M. The most amazing thing about shooting a show is how long it takes….and that everything is shot out of sequence!
Question: Brett, I was wondering how you were chosen for the upcoming film “The Replacements.” I know that it is suppose to start shooting in August. I assuming that means it will be out some time in the year 2000?
Brett: I got the role in the Replacements by auditioning and it should be coming out in 2000 sometime.
Question: Do you love horses? I have 2 of them. I have my own and so does my dad. Do you have any horses? How many? What kind? What are there names? Debra
Brett: Debra, I have one horse and it’s a polish Arabian mare. Her name is Serena.
Question: I was wondering how you keep your composure with your expert lovemaking with the beautiful women you co-star with? Sincerely, Shirley
Brett: That’s a tough one Shirley but I don’t think I’ll divulge my secrets……..
Question: What can we do to get “Legacy” back on the air. It is a good wholesome family show. Any possibility that it will be made into a movie or that another network will pick it up. Who can I write to? Kim in Austin, TX
Brett: Kim, you could write UPN or Alliance/Atlantis prods. but unfortunately it will probably fall on deaf ears…..I’m sorry because I loved the show too…..
Question: Brett, I occasionally worked on the set of Legacy as a stand-by paramedic with Lifeline Ambulance and was very impressed by your kind behavior and openess to those working behind the scenes. My questions are, what was your impression of Richmond, and do you and your lovely wife plan to return in the near future? (Also, would it be possible to receive an autographed picture from you?) Jim
Brett: Hi Jim how are you? My wife and I loved Richmond and really hoped the show would go on forever…the only draw back for us was missing our close friends in LA…I’m now in Baltimore and certainly hope to get down to Richmond soon for a visit…I’ll try to get you a picture as soon as possible but it may be a while since my photos are in LA and I’m here….take care Jim and thanks for the kind words.
Question: Do you know when the video collection for “Legacy” will be released and will it be sold separately or in one complete set?
Brett: I don’t know when the Show is coming out on video but was told by Alliance that it was in the works….
